Gamelan Kusuma Laras presents a wayang kulit (shadow puppet play) featuring some remarkable performers from Central Java, including dalang Ki Purbo Asmoro. More info on the show here. Performed at Asia Society, 725 Park Avenue (6 train to 68th St). Tickets available online.

The full premiere of Panoply Performance Lab's Nature Fetish, a public opera, in which I'll be playing clarinet & banjo in addition to having vocal and dramatic responsibilities. At the University Settlement (184 Eldridge St, Manhattan, near the F/J/M trains), gratis. 7:30 PM.

Cough Button - the transmission arts collective of Lynn Levy, Aliza Simons, and myself - will present part of a new theatrical work as part of Experiments in Opera at Roulette. Also presenting will be Jason Cady, Matt Welch, & Aaron Siegel. More details forthcoming. Roulette is at 509 Atlantic Ave (@ 3rd Ave), very near to the Atlantic Terminal.
