In the Year 2005 of the Common Era, Dave Ruder turned twenty-two. On April 13th, the day this came to pass, Dave and many other Seniors at Wesleyan University handed in their theses. It is traditional in the society in which Dave was at that time functioning to reward the anniversary of a person's birth with gifts and merriment, and this was magnified by the fact that many folks around Dave were completing major projects on this particular day. Robyn Schroeder, then a house-mate of Dave's and fellow thesis completor, awarded Dave with a great and creative gift, tailor-made for Dave: a disposable camera. The rules of this camera were that all photographs it caputred had to have Dave in the frame, and hence this gift was indulging Dave's vanity, much as this webpage is in a way (see here for further discussion). And so, for the first time on the Internet, I present to you, in full (well, one snapshot is kind of blurry, so we're not counting that), the un-expurgated version of the contents of
